ElectroPlan Privacy Policy

Electrical floor plan design app

Effective date: September 29, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 29, 2026

1. Purpose of ElectroPlan

ElectroPlan is a tool for drawing and planning residential and small commercial electrical installations. It lets you sketch floor plans (rooms, walls, doors and windows), place electrical symbols (sockets, switches, lighting, and similar fixtures), wire them into circuits, organize circuits under a distribution board, and export the finished plan as a PDF document that you can save to your device or share with others (for example, with an electrician or client).

ElectroPlan is a design and documentation tool. It does not connect to, monitor, or control any real electrical installation, smart-home device, or hardware.

2. Local storage of your project data

Everything you create in ElectroPlan — floor plans, rooms, electrical symbols, circuits, distribution-board layouts, notes, and any floor-plan image you choose to import — is stored only on your own device, in a local, on-device database. ElectroPlan does not operate a server or cloud backend of its own, and it does not upload your project data anywhere.

When you export a project as a PDF, that file is generated on your device and only leaves it if you explicitly choose to save it to a location you pick or share it through your device's own share sheet (for example, by email or messaging app of your choosing). ElectroPlan itself never sends the PDF or its contents anywhere on your behalf.

3. Offline functionality

ElectroPlan is designed to work fully offline. Creating, editing, and exporting projects does not require an internet connection. A connection is only used for the two optional, Google-operated services described in Section 5 (ads shown to free users, and processing an optional Pro subscription purchase) — never to transmit your floor plan or project content.

4. Collection and processing of personal data

ElectroPlan does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information to use the app.

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location, and does not collect analytics or usage data of its own.

The only personal-data-adjacent processing that happens is carried out by the third-party Google services described in the next section, strictly for the purposes stated there.

5. Sharing of data with third parties

ElectroPlan does not sell, rent, or share your project data (floor plans, symbols, circuits) with any third party. That data never leaves your device unless you personally choose to export and share a PDF, as described in Section 2.

ElectroPlan integrates two third-party services, both operated by Google, which may process limited technical data as described in Google's own privacy documentation:

  • Google AdMob — used to show advertisements to users on the free tier (for example, before saving or exporting a project). AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers and other technical information to select and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob's data disclosure.
  • Google Play Billing — used to process the optional "ElectroPlan Pro" subscription purchase and to verify and restore purchases. Payment details are handled entirely by Google Play; ElectroPlan itself never sees or stores your payment information. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google Play processes this data.

ElectroPlan does not use any other analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs beyond the two listed above.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because your project data is stored only on your device, you are always in control of it:

  • You can delete an individual project at any time from within the app.
  • Uninstalling ElectroPlan removes its local database, including all projects, from your device.

ElectroPlan does not keep a separate copy of your project data anywhere else, so there is nothing further to delete on our end. Any data processed by Google AdMob or Google Play Billing is retained and deleted according to Google's own policies, linked in Section 5.

7. Children's privacy

ElectroPlan is a professional/hobbyist electrical planning tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us using the details in Section 10 so it can be addressed.

8. Your privacy rights

Since ElectroPlan does not collect or store personal data on any server, most data-subject requests (access, correction, deletion, portability) are already fully in your hands: your project data lives on your device, and you can view, export, or delete it at any time directly within the app, or remove it entirely by uninstalling the app.

For data processed by Google (Section 5), you can exercise your rights — including managing ad personalization and reviewing your purchase history — directly through your Google Account and Google Play settings, or by contacting Google.

If you have questions about your rights under a specific law (such as the GDPR or CCPA), contact us using the details in Section 10.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time — for example, if ElectroPlan adds a new feature that changes how data is handled. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
